The service

MyFatherStory helps you preserve memories of your father in your own words. We guide a conversation, help shape a readable story from what you share, and give that story a place your family can keep and share.

You keep authority over your own words. We do not invent facts about your father. We do not assume whether he is living or deceased. Stories are prepared for you to review; they are not published until you choose to publish.

Your story and your words

• You may begin without creating a password; a private link (and session on your browser) helps you return.
• Completing the conversation stores your answers; it does not publish them.
• You review the story before it goes live.
• Fathers Remembered: inclusion is your choice at publish (and changeable later where offered).

Do not post a private working link publicly if you want the unfinished interview to stay private.

Ownership and license (stories & photographs)

You own the memories and original content you submit (your answers, and photographs you upload), subject to any rights others already hold in those photos.

By using the service, you give MyFatherStory a limited license to store, process, display, and (when you publish or order print) reproduce that content as needed to provide the service you asked for — including shaping the story, hosting the page, emailing you, including the story in Fathers Remembered if you opt in, and fulfilling a print order.

You confirm you have the right to share what you upload. Do not upload material you do not have permission to use.

The MyFatherStory name, site design, and software remain ours.

Acceptable use

Use this for genuine family memory. Do not upload unlawful material, harass others, attempt to access other people’s stories, or abuse the service with automation. We may refuse or remove content that violates these terms or the law.

Plans, duration, and expiration

Published stories may be kept online for the access period you choose (for example, 1 year · $49, 2 years · $79, or Legacy / 5 years · $99 — prices as shown at checkout).

• Payment is one-time for the selected term. No subscription. No automatic renewal unless we clearly offer and you clearly accept a renewal later.
• When a paid access period ends, the public page may become unavailable until you extend or renew under then-current options.
• A downloadable keepsake PDF (when included with Legacy) and any printed book you ordered separately are yours to keep under the terms of that purchase; they are not the same as ongoing website hosting.
• Complimentary 4-day access, when offered, is so you can read and decide.

Refunds

If something went wrong on our side, or the story never became usable, contact support@myfatherstory.com. We read every request carefully. Refund windows and edge cases follow our refund practice as stated at purchase or on Support; we aim to be fair to families.

Deletion

You may request deletion as described on the Privacy page. We process requests against the correct record. Until processed, materials remain stored so we can honor the right request.

Availability

We work to keep the service reliable. Like any online service, it may be interrupted for maintenance, outages, or circumstances beyond our control. We do not invent a story if we cannot prepare one from what you shared.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product grows. The Last updated date will change. Continued use after a posted update means you accept the revised terms for future use. Material changes that affect paid plans will be communicated reasonably.
