These terms describe how this private Father Story MVP is meant to work. They are not a substitute for legal counsel. Last updated 26 August 2026.

The service

Father Story is a family-history interview tool. You keep authority over your own words. The service does not invent facts about your father and does not assume whether he is living or deceased. Generated stories, when they exist, are drafts for a person to review. They are not published unless you give separate publication consent and an owner later approves them.

Your interview

You may start without creating a password. The private interview link is how you return to the conversation. Do not post that link on a public page if you want the interview to stay private. Completing the conversation stores your answers; it does not make them public.

Acceptable use

Use this for genuine family memory. Do not upload material you do not have the right to share, and do not try to probe other people’s interviews. Automated abuse is rate-limited and may be refused.

Deletion

You can request deletion from the thank-you page or as described on the privacy page. Requests are processed by the project owner. Until then, the interview remains stored so we can honor the request against the right record.

Availability

This is a private MVP. Interviewer replies and story drafts need a configured model key on the server. If that key is missing, your answers are still saved; we will not fabricate a story to fill the gap.
