Questions families ask — we’re here.

How does MyFatherStory work?
We guide you through a conversation about your father. You share the memories you know, we ask thoughtful follow-up questions, and your answers are shaped into a finished story you can review, add photographs to and share.
Do I need to be a good writer?
Not at all. Talk or type the way you normally would. Your job is to remember; we’ll help with the writing.
How long will the story be?
The length depends on how much you share. We focus on creating a story worth reading rather than filling a particular word count.
Can I change the story?
Yes. You’ll read the story before publishing it and have an opportunity to correct or improve anything that doesn’t feel right.
Who can see it?
You decide how to share the finished story. You can send the link directly to family and friends and choose whether it also appears in Fathers Remembered.
What if my relationship with my father was complicated?
That’s okay. A father’s story doesn’t have to be perfect or sentimental to be worth telling. Share what feels true to your experience and skip anything you don’t want to discuss.
